WHO: All CHS students enrolled in AP courses onsite or through FVS or GAVS will be taking their respective AP exams unless they have already submitted an opt-out form to Ms. Gracey. WHEN: Dates: May 2-13th (See Testing Calendar) also see link to College Board's Calendar. Morning Tests – Students should be at their designated testing site for check in and completion of same day pre-administration no later than 7:30am. Students arriving late can not be admitted to the testing room once the exam begins. Students that arrive too late to take the exam must pay the College Board restocking fee. Afternoon Tests – Students should be at their designated testing site by 11:30am unless completing a morning test. Students should also make travel arrangements from school to home in case their exam goes past 3:30. Students will be informed of probable completion times but such times can not be guaranteed based upon the start time of the test as well as the verification of all materials prior to student release. Students may not be dismissed until an exam has officially ended including all materials being verified and accounted for; do not ask to leave early if you finish before the end of the exam. WHERE: Designated testing sites will be announced and posted one week before the exam. Traditional AP testing areas have included the theater stage, theater lobby, auxiliary gym, and language lab rooms. WHAT TO BRING: Students should bring a picture ID, AP Student Pack with AP Identification Number for the 2016 exams, several sharpened #2 pencils with erasers and black or dark blue pens as designated per their exam. Students should bring a healthy snack and bottled water in a bag or container with their name on it to be used at the approved break. Students should bring up to two calculators with the necessary capabilities ONLY if you are taking an AP Biology, Calculus, Statistics, Chemistry, or Physics Exam (also, a ruler or straightedge only if you are taking an AP Physics Exam. It also is wise to have spare batteries as applicable. Students should only bring personal electronics that are absolutely necessary and will be required to turn off completely and label when submitting at check in. Students will have to turn in all personal electronics upon check in. COST: AP Testing Fees are generously paid for by Fulton County Schools for all FCS students. Students that do not show for the exam will have to pay the restocking fee charged by the College Board. ABSENCES: Only approved absences based upon medical emergency of approved testing conflict as recognized by the College Board can be eligible for late testing. Students that are taking AP Exams scheduled at the same time or that have an approved College Board conflict, must notify the testing coordinator by April 15. |
